Summer is finally here, and we’re thrilled to bring you the latest news and updates from our vibrant surf community. Whether you’re hitting the water or just soaking up the sun at the club, there's something for everyone this month. Here’s what’s new in June:
1. New Gear Arrivals
We’re excited to announce that we’ve received a fresh shipment of the latest windsurfing and wingfoil gear, ready to enhance your surfing experience. Here’s a rundown of what’s new:
For our windsurfing enthusiasts, we’ve added Severne S1 rigs in 3.6 m² and 4.8 m², and Severne Gator sails in 6.0, 6.5, and 7.0 m². Our board selection now includes the Tabou Rocket 135L and 145L for intermediate surfers. Unfortunately, one board is already damaged. Please be careful when using our hardboards, especially when getting them in and out of the container. Finally, we’ve also added a great selection of RRD Stark and Ascan/Severne harnesses in different sizes.
For our wingfoil fans, we’re thrilled to introduce a brand new fleet of boards in 160L, 145L, and 110L and four new foils in XXL, XL, and L. And to get you flying we have five new wings in 6m², 5m², and 4m². With this new addition to the wingfoil department, we're also looking forward to offering more workshops (as participation is required to use the wingfoil gear), but more on that later.

2. Summer Party Planning
Our much-anticipated Summer Party is around the corner on August 24th, and we need your help to make it a success! This event is one of the highlights of our year, bringing together members for a day of fun, food, and festivities.
This year we’re thinking of doing “Helgolympics” (or “Helgolade”) with an afternoon of fun games in the water and on land - and some good old-fashioned Helgo fun in the evening.
But no party without helping hands!
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with various tasks such as:
Planning and helping with the preparation and clean-up
Organizing food, drinks, and budget - maybe just a BBQ or pizzas?
Setting up fun games and activities - who’s up for a SUP-beer-race?
Arranging music - we need a playlist to keep the vibe going all day and night!

3. Website Updates
We’re slowly making some updates to our website - and have just added some much-needed updates to “General Information” in the Members’ Area. We hope you’ll be able to find whatever information you might need here - so be sure to check out: GENERAL INFORMATION.
And speaking of the website, remember that information regarding workdays has also been updated. Here you can find some great ideas for completing your workday - like organizing a beach clean-up, cleaning the clubhouse, or hosting our weekly Helgo Hangout. Find more details here: WORKDAYS.
4. Windsurfing and Wingfoil Workshops
Our fantastic team of instructors is constantly adding workshops that you can sign up for on our website.
Windsurfers can look forward to beginner, beginner+, and intermediate workshops throughout June and July. These workshops are perfect for newcomers looking to get started or for members wanting to expand their skills.
As for wingfoil enthusiasts, sign-up is now open for beginner workshops on our website. Please note that participation in a wingfoil workshop is mandatory before you can use the gear. The first two workshops are already up with more to come. Keep an eye on the website for upcoming sessions if you're eager to start wingfoiling.

5. Hvide Sande Club Trip
Finally, a little teaser and reminder to mark your calendar for the last club trip this year.
We’ve already had two fantastic club trips to Nakskov and Lynæs - and we still have the big, the classic, the OG, Hvide Sande club trip coming up in the fall. Mark your calendar for October 10-13th and keep an eye out for the invite in your inbox, sign-up will open in the coming weeks.
