Summer break is over, but the real fun is just beginning — with parties, hangouts, club trips, and those first chilly-but-glorious sessions on the water. Let’s shake off the sunscreen haze and ease into the late-summer surf season together. Here’s what’s coming up at your favorite surf club.
1. Open House - This Saturday
We're opening the club to curious newcomers this Saturday, August 9 — and we need you, dear Helgos, to help make it happen. This is a golden chance to show off what we love, help a few people catch the surf bug, and rack up some workday karma while you're at it.
We need help with:
Rigging and carrying gear to and from the water
Welcoming visitors, answering questions, and generally being awesome
Keeping the BBQ going and the vibe chill – all day

2. Summer Party
Get ready to dust off your fanny packs and channel your inner tourist, because Saturday, August 30, is the day of The Legendary Helgoland Summer Party – and you won’t want to miss it! We’re talking an epic afternoon and evening packed with games, laughter, delicious food, and dancing.
Sign-up for the Helgoland Summer Party will open on Klubmodul Friday, August 8!
3. Club Trips
The last official club trip this season to Hvide Sande on September 18-21 is sold out. But social tickets will soon be up for grabs if you want to arrange your own transport, accommodation, and bring your own gear.
Also, a few members are planning a joker trip in September to Albuen/Nakskov - so stay tuned for info on that...
4. A Few Quick Ones
- Young Guns are back from summer break and will resume their Youth Training again on Tuesday, August 12.
- Helgo Hangouts are still rolling every Thursday - but we need more hosts. Sign your name on THIS SHEET if you're up for it. Remember, it counts as a workday.
- Ironman Copenhagen takes place on Sunday, August 17, which means that the roads and area around the clubhouse will be partly closed starting this Sunday. Check your route before heading to the club and allow a little extra time for those roadblocks.
